The Project Leader of the Cultural Mapping of Panay and Guimaras, Fourth and Fifth Districts of Iloilo, Genevieve Santorio-Palmares, formally turned over the book A Cultural Inventory of the Province of Iloilo: Municipality of Estancia to the Local Government Unit of Estancia. The turnover was received by Municipal Mayor Hon. Ma. Angelica Bianca Requinto-Espinosa and Municipal Administrator Engr. Arman Ravena, together with the book’s digital copy and the corresponding certificate.

The turnover marks a significant milestone in the municipality’s continuing commitment to preserving, promoting, and documenting Estancia’s rich cultural heritage for present and future generations.

The Cultural Mapping Project was implemented through Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) – Estancia Campus under the leadership of Dr. Leovigildo Rey Alaban, with the assistance of Research Assistant Giselle Arceo.

Through this valuable cultural inventory, the Municipality of Estancia further strengthens its commitment to safeguarding its history, traditions, and identity, ensuring that these cultural treasures remain a source of pride and inspiration for generations to come.
