The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) successfully conducted an informative and meaningful orientation on its programs and services, together with a Business Planning Training, for the members and officers of the Estanciahanon Migrants and Families Association (EMFA), May 06, 2026.

The activity was facilitated through the support and expertise of Ms Lea M. Aguirre, Supervising Administrative Officer; Mr John Francis Solas, Family Welfare Officer; and Ms Addyvel Myles Aldon, Administrative Aide VI, from the OWWA Regional Welfare Office VI. Their discussions provided a clearer understanding of the various assistance programs, welfare services, and opportunities available to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families.

More importantly, the orientation emphasized the vital role of EMFA as a strong support system for migrant workers and their loved ones in the community. The organization continues to serve as a bridge of hope, guidance, and empowerment for families of OFWs in Estancia.

The activity also forms part of the “Tulong Puso Program” or Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Pagpapa-unlad ng Samahang OFWs, a one-time livelihood grant intended to help OFW associations establish and strengthen sustainable livelihood projects. Through this initiative, EMFA is given the opportunity to develop income-generating programs that will not only benefit its members but also contribute to the welfare and economic growth of the families they represent.

This meaningful initiative reflects OWWA’s continuing commitment to uplift the lives of OFWs and their families through education, livelihood support, and community empowerment. [end]
